Few may know that one of my life goals is to live abroad for at least two months. Well, as Andrew has been assigned to at least a year contract with T. Rowe International, I say mission accomplished! Since I'm living one of my goals, I thought, what better way to document it than through a blog! I hope you enjoy following my many, yet sometimes ordinary, adventures!

Ode to the Aussies

When we first moved to London, I joined the David Lloyd's gym in South Kensington. When you join the gym, you are assigned a trainer to get you acquainted and to give you an intro session. Johnny from Australia was mine!

I immediately signed on for a few sessions after hearing his exciting background and experience and I liked his overall demeanor. Mostly, though, it was because I was desperate for friends! I soon met his girlfriend, Corinne. There were gym classes together, a pick up game of football in the park and then nights out.

After a few get to know you drinks, we were full blown friends! They came to Thanksgiving and we celebrated birthdays together. Then, when the flat they were renting was sold, they became roomies for the last month. I think that's obviously when we got to know them best.

Fajita Fridays were initiated and we had lots of family dinners in general. A recent super fun day was Paintballing that Corinne arranged near Gatwick Airport. I was really scared to do that at first, but immediately loosened up and became a super ninja snipeThey were really easy to have around and I quite liked having built in friends! This past Saturday they packed up their stuff and onto the open road they went to explore Europe for the next 6 months in their VW camper van.

I'm sad they're gone. In lieu of trying to put my feelings into words, I'm going to attach pics of some fun nights out to show just how much we loved these guys! Hopefully we'll get to meet up with them a few times along the way..
